MUHLENBERG 300th CELEBRATION AT AUGUSTUS LUTHERAN CHURCH

300th Anniversary of the Birth of Henry Melchior Muhlenberg

September 6, 2011, will mark the 300th anniversary of Henry Melchior Muhlenberg’s birth. A German immigrant and Lutheran minister, Muhlenberg resided in Trappe, Pennsylvania for much of his life, and is known as the Patriarch of the Lutheran Church in America.

As one of the original congregations to call Henry Melchior Muhlenberg to America, and a component of Trappe’s Historic Muhlenberg Partnership, Augustus Lutheran Church is commemorating this occasion with a yearlong series of special events.

Additional activities, including plays, concerts, and lectures, will be added to the calendar as soon as they have been confirmed.

Please join us in celebrating the life, work, and legacy of Henry Melchior Muhlenberg.
